Charles James- Beyond Fashion MET Gala 2014

Uncategorized

This year’s MET Gala celebrated a grand couturier, Charles James, who constructed voluminous and glamorous gowns for the fashion icons of the time.

Of course, with beautiful fashion, you need perfect hair and makeup. Here’s a look at my favorites:

Anna Kendricks wore clean side-part with a bit of lift at the crown paired with a feline flick eyeliner and dusty rose pink lip.

This loose, textured side braid paired with bronzed eyes, apricot cheeks and lips gave Emma Stone a polished bohemian feel.

Chloƫ Moretz balanced a dramatic smokey eye with natural nude pinks for her lips and cheeks along with loose waves gathered in a half-up, half-down style.

Glossy, side parted cascading barrel waves framed Blake Lively’s face. A wispy thick lash paired with a brighter pink made the look pop.

Rita Ora channeled flapper and gamine with this slick deep side part do. She wore gold leaf in the parting add flair and interest. A beautiful full lash and sculpted cherry red lip completed the look.

You need a sweetheart look to match a sweetheart neckline. Reese Witherspoon wore a glossy faux bob pinned securely out of the face with with a matching bright pink to complete the look.

Serious height at the crown gave Selena Gomez interest for a style that was worn completely off the face. Winged liner, full thick eyelashes and a raspberry lip complemented the jewelry and gown.

A beautiful risk was taken by Joan Smalls with this beautiful magnetic eggplant violet lipstick. A side fishtail braid softened the look.

An effortless windswept updo matched well with Suki Waterhouse’s deep toned makeup complete with a ruby lip and bronzey smoke eye.

There were many beautiful gowns, lights, and glamour. Check out the full red carpet online by typing “MET Gala 2014”
