Heat wave.

Two words that make leaving my perfectly air conditioned home almost impossible. Makeup runs, hair falls, skin gets dehydrated and moodiness abounds.

Not all hope is lost though. Beauty can take a relaxed and non structural ease. A nonchalant feel is a good staple. If all else fails, you can always hang out by the pool for a couple of hours. Relaxation is key.

In this recent beauty series featuring Sidney Jamison, we showcased easy but impactful beauty filled with impactful textures, colors, and easiness. The photographs by Chris Ossenfort perfectly capture Sidney’s striking beauty.

Sidney’s skin was prepared using Koh Gen Do Oriental Plant Essence. This serum plumps the skin while not leaving it sticky or heavy.

The face was then moisturized with a cocktail of Koh Gen Do All in One Refresh Gel and Dior Glow Maximizer Primer. I found that this mixture moisturizes, primes, protects and gives radiance to the skin in one step. I love this moisturizer because it’s cooling for the hot summer day.

Dipping in and out of the pool feels amazing during the hot months but your hair and skin might not appreciate it as much. My current favorite hair and skin moisturizer is Leonor Greyl Huile Secret de Beaute Or. The smell is intoxicating and the lipids in this oil create a barrier against the elements without ever feeli g to greasy.
